Mc Connel Dowell wins Tunu Phase 8 project

Australian construction and engineering company McConnell Dowell Corporation Ltd has been awarded a US$35 million contract to develop TotalFinaElf Tunu gas field in East Kalimantan, the company said.

McConnell Dowell said a press release in Thursday that t contract would cover engineering works, procurement, supply and construction of 20, 24 and 36 inch diameter truck lines in the gas field.

The truck lines, according to the company, would be installed by horizontal directional drilling and laybarge pipe laying methods in low-lying wet areas.

Tunu gas field is located at the Mahakam production sharing contract area operated by TotalFinaElf, which supplies natural gas to Bontang gas liquefaction facility.

McConnell Dowell Corporation Ltd., is an Australian based construction company, offering specialist building, heavy civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation and pipeline engineering and construction services. (alex)
