MCCO, Zhenshi unit sign nickel-iron smelting project contract

Chinese firm MCC Overseas Ltd (MCCO) said on Wednesday it had signed a nickel-iron smelting project construction contract with Indonesia FBLN Company, a unit of Chinese conglomerate Zhensi Group, in the Jakarta.

The contract was signed on June 9, 2014

The project is located on an island in the northern Indonesia, and designed by using nickel-iron blast furnace smelting technology with an annual output of 80,000 tons of nickel iron.

This contract includes basic civil construction, steel structure supply and installation of complex comprising of one lime kiln, four blast furnaces along with associated nickel ore sintering facilities and environmental protection facilities.

Total construction period will be 10.5 months, and commence on July 25, 2014.

The project is MCCO?s first metallurgical construction project in Indonesian market, and also has great significance in MCCO?s business expansion in Indonesia metallurgical market.
