MPI president director Fazil E. Alfitri said in Jakarta on Tuesday that the PLTG Tanjung Uncang simple-cycle power plant would have two generators with a capacity of 35 MW each or total capacity of 70 MW.
The Tanjung Uncang power plant is designed to become a combined cycle power plant to increase power generation capacity to 110 MW. ?We are now waiting for the arrival of the machines for the power lant,? Fazil said.
He said that UBE would invest up to US$60 million or about Rp 570 billion for the construction of the PLTG Tanjung Uncang simple cycle power plant which was expected to begin commercial operation in January, 2014.
UBE will become an independent power producer and will sell the electricity to PLN. MPI and PLN signed power purchase agreement for the Tanjung Uncang power plant in October for 20 years.(*)
