Medco allocates more gas for households in S. Sumatra

Upstream company PT Medco E&P Indonesia started on Wednesday supplying gas from fields at its South Sumatra block to be distributed via inner city gas pipeline operated by IDX-listed gas distribution firm PT PGN Tbk to households in Sekayu, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province.

Medco said in a statement that PGN will gradually distribute the gas to up to 6,031 households in Sekayu,

The company said it is set to sign a 10-year gas sales and purchase agreement with PGN at a volume of 0.25 mmscfd.

Medco previously has also allocated gas from its fields for 5,000 households in Palembang, South Sumatra, and for 21,000 households in Tarakan, North Kalimantan.
