Medco begins to supply gas from Sekayu CBM wells

PT Medco EP Indonesia, a subsidiary of Indonesia-listed oil and gas concern PT Medco Energy Internasional, has begun to flow gas from CBM wells in the Sekayu Block in South Sumatra to fuel power plants in local villages.
The gas started to flow following dewatering process at the SCBM SE-02 and CBM SE-03 wells in the block.
In 2013, Medco CBM Sekayu, which manages coal bed methane (CBM) working area in South Sumatra, plans to drill five wells in Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra, Public Relations Manager of Medco EP Indonesia, Joang Laksanto told Petromindo.com Tuesday.
Joang further said that Medco CBM Sekayu has drilled four wells in Musi Banyuasin including two of which, CBM SE-02 and CBM SE-03, have undergone dewatering stage.
