Medco, CityView to commence production test at E. Java exploration block

Australian listed oil producer CityView Corporation Limited on Wednesday said its joint venture partner Medco Energi International, the operator of Madura exploration block in East Java had reported that production test in Sebaya-1 well is about to commence.

According to CityView, this test will determine the fluids in the formations and the rates the well can be produced.

CityView said the packer had been set at 4361 feet and the end of the tail pipe at 4392 feet in order to test the zone from 4527 to 4570 feet. A 2(7/8)inch tubing test string had been run inside the casing.

The zone to be tested will be perforated with four to eight shots per foot, allowing fluids from the formation to enter the well and be diverted through a test separator.

Medco, as operator holds 75 percent interest in Madura exploration block while CityView holds the remaining 75 percent. (alex)
