Medco completes drilling S. Sumatra exploration well

IDX-listed energy firm PT Medco Energi Internasional said on Friday that it has completed to drill its Nuansa-1 exploration well in Merangin I PSC, onshore South Sumatra.
?As the end of August 2008, drilling of Nuansa-1 well reached final depth of 10,684 ft from 10,200 ft planned total depth (TD),? the company said in report to the Indonesian bourse.
The company did not give further detail.
Medco operates the block with 41 percent interest, the remaining interest holds by a unit of Thai energy firm PTTEP and MOECO, a subsidiary of Japan?s Mitsui Oil Exploration Company with 39 and 20 percent, respectively. (denny)
