Medco delays testing at Pidawan-1 well

Australian listed oil company CityView Corporation Limited said on Friday its partner and the operator of Simenggaris Block, PT Medco Energi International Tbk, had delayed the testing program at Pidawan-1 well due to the poor results of the Cement Bond Log (CBL).
According to CityView, Medco will continue to run the logs early next week after a remedial cement job will be required.
As reported previously, oil had shown at Pidawan-1 well after the drilling program had reached a depth of 7,478 feet. The well is located in East Kalimantan.
CityView is free carried by Medco throughout the current work programs and has a gross 25 percent interest in Simenggaris block. (robert)
