Medco discovers gas in Aceh

PT Medco EP Indonesia has discovered a gas reserve at Matang #1 well in Block A PSC in Aceh Timur regency, Aceh.
The company said on Wednesday it is preparing drill steam test (DST) at the well and planned to drill another well at the block.
?Medco and partners have discovered gas there and are preparing another delineation well in the block in line with our contract commitment,? a source told Petromindo.com.
Separately, Development Director of PT Medco EP Indonesia Eka S. Djalins confirmed gas discovery at Matang #1 well.
?DST is being prepared. The good news is that gas has been discovered,? he said, but he refused to provide details.
