Medco EP to move Century Rig to Block A in Aceh

PT Medco EP Indonesia is preparing to move the Century Rig from Kalimantan to carry out exploration work at Block A in Aceh.

The rig is expected to arrive in Aceh at the end of July to spud the Matang-1 well in September, said Medco EP Operational Director Eka Satria Djalins.

?We?re mobilizing the rig, and expect it to arrive in Aceh end of July,? Eka told Petromindo.com on Thursday.

Eka said that EPC tender for the Block A project has yet to be finalized. ?We?re still negotiating the price, hopefully it could be completed soon,? he said.

Elsewhere, Eka said that for exploration of the Senoro Block owned by Medco, there are two offshore drilling plans in 2013 and 2014.
