Medco has chosen new CEO

IDX-listed energy firm PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk has appointed Roberto Lorato as new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to replace Lukman Mahfoedz, according to a source.
?The appointment of the new CEO needs approval from the shareholders? meeting scheduled for December this year,? the source said.
According to the source, Lukam plans to set up a firm with friends to participate in the tender for the PLTU Jawa-1 power plant project.
The source also said Christina Verchere, BP Regional President for Asia-Pacific, is now the strongest candidate to replace Craig Stewart as new chairman of the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) for 2016. Most IPA members favor her.
?The question is will BP allow her to assume the position? It will be clear at the IPA Annual Meeting scheduled for Dec. 5, 2015,? the source said.
