Medco has yet decided when to resume drilling at Ijen

PT Medco power Indonesia is has yet decided when to resume drilling at its Ijen geothermal power plant project in East Java.
Head of Corporate Counsel told Petromindo.Com that technical evaluations are ongoing.
The company was forced to suspend the second drilling in February this year after encountering technical problems at the depth of 700 meters and the rig has subsequently been pulled out of the site.
The company has previously drilled the first well at Ijen.
Medco Power, a unit of IDX-listed PT Medco Energi internasional Tbk is planning to develop power plant with capacity 2x55 MW at Ijen. The company is teaming up with Philippine?s developer Aboitiz Power Corporation.
