Medco in talks to supply gas to PLN?s S. Sumatra power plant

JSX-listed oil firm PT.Medco Energi Internasional Tbk. is in talks with satte electricity firm to supply 20MMCFD of gas from its South Sumatera Extension block to PLN?s 2x40MW Temelat power plant in Musi Rawas regency, also located in south Sumatra.

Pudjo Suwarno, General Manager of SSE block told Petromindo.Com over the weekend in Palembang that the deal?s MoU would be sign ?soon?. The gas would be delivered 2006 for 15 years, he said. He said that PLN had indicatively agreed on the price of US$2.3 per MMBTU.

30-km pipeline would be constructed to deliver the gas, he said. (godang)
