IDX-listed energy company PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk said that coal production at its indirect coal subsidiary PT Duta Tambang Rekayasa (DTR) in January exceeded target

F. Hary Kristiono, Corporate Strategic and Commercial Vice President at PT Medco Mining Internasional (MMI), the parent of DTR, said to Petromindo.com on Tuesday that DTR produced around 51,000 tons, higher compared to the target of 50,000 tons, in January 2017.

"Although the weather was so bad with heavy rain but our coal production showed good performance by exceeding the target," he said, adding that the coal output in January was exported to Thailand for supplying cement industry.

MMI, a subsidiary of Medco Energi, owns DTR, which is producing coal with calorific value of 6,500 kcal/kg GAR. DTR is targeted to produce around 600,000 tons of coal this year from its concession in Nunukan, North Kalimantan.
