Medco opens tender for construction works of its power plant

Publicly-listed oil and gas firm PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk, through its subsidiary, PT Medco Energi Power has opened the tender for the construction works of the company's gas power plant which will be built in Gunung Megang, South Sumatra, Bisnis Indonesia reported Friday.
"We hope the winner of the tender could be announced within the next two months," the company's director Aries Parjimanto told the daily early this week.
Medco Energi, in cooperation with PT Indonesia Power, the subsidiary of state electricity company PLN, will build a gas-fired power plant in the province, with a capacity of 2 x 40 MW. The project is expected to cost both firms between $50 million and $60 million.(*)
