CityView said the DST-1 was flowing predominately light oil/condensate with some gas at low pressure/volume.
?Surface pressure and flow volumes has been fluctuating considerably,? Medco was quoted by CityView, adding that the shut in pressure was 2,400 pound per square inch (PSI).
CityView said Medco believed that there was low permeability in the formation from the reservoir and had performed an acid stimulation job in order to increase the permeability in the limestone before retesting the interval.
?Immediately after the acid stimulation job was carried out, the surface pressure increased to 1100 PSI.?
Furthermore, Medco was waiting for the well to clean up before carrying out the re-testing the interval, CityView said.
Madura JOB is located offshore East Java. State oil and gas firm Pertamina has 35 percent interest in the block, while CityView, Medco and Falcon Oil Pte. Ltd holds 16.25 percent, 24.75 percent and 24 percent, respectively. (robert)
