IDX-listed PT Medco Energi Internasional announced on Monday that it plans to carry out a 2D seismic survey on 330 km in South Sumatra PSC in South Sumatra province in the fourth quarter of 2016.
Authority for Expenditures (AFE) for the survey has been approved by SKK Migas, the firm said.
The program, which was a follow-up to the previous program, aims to ascertain targets in shallow areas of Musi Platform which has a better success rate as evidenced in the new discoveries at Arung-1 and Hijau-2 wells.
The block is 100 percent owned by PT Medco E&P Indonesia with its contract valid through 2033.
