Medco reports 2013 coal output at 634,000 tons

IDX-listed energy company PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk said that its coal mining unit PT Medco Energi Mining Internasional produced 634,000 tons of coal last year from its concession in Nunukan, East Kalimantan. The company did not provide comparative figure for 2012.
In a filing with the Indonesia Stock Exchange late last week, Medco said that average coal price during the year was US$81.93 per ton, up from $68.59 per ton in the previous year.
The company through subsidiaries PT Duta Tambang Sumber Alam and PT Duta Tambang Rekayasa owns two coal concessions in Nunukan, but only the latter has entered production stage.
