Medco reports steep increase in H1 earnings

JSX-listed top oil producer PT. Medco Energi Internasional Tbk. reported on Monday that its first half net earnings rose steeply to US$47.75 million (1.5 cent per share) from $ 26.62 million last year (0.86 cent per share).
The company revealed in unaudited financial report posted at local media that the increase was mainly due to higher oil and gas sales, drilling service fees, and power and methanol revenue of $294.4 million versus $229 million a year ago.(alex)
