Medco resumes E. Kalimantan oil production

Medco Energi Internasional Tbk announced on Thursday it had resumed oil production from Sembakung TAC block in East Kalimantan following the success to kill gas flow in Sembakung Well #60.
Medco was forced to shut down oil wells in the vicinity after gas leak occurred during a drilling operations in Well# 60 on January 27, 2008.
Medco has 100 percent interest in the block, which produced crude at the rate of 2,400 barrels per day. The block has been in production since 1977. (alex)
