Medco's 2002 operating results

The publicly listed oil and gas company PT Medco Energi International has submitted its 2002 operating results, according to the Jakarta Stock Exchange announcement released Tuesday.

Medco said earlier that it posted 2002 net profit (unaudit) of US$82.02 million, up from $77.14 million in the previous year.

The company, the only Indonesian oil firm listed on the bourse, produces oil and gas through its subsidiary PT Exspan Nusantara and is owner of the country?s top drilling company PT Apexindo Pratama Duta and Kalimantan-based methanol producer PT Medco Methanol Bunyu.

Medco is 85.51 percent owned by Mauritius-based investment company New Links Energy Resources Ltd. (robert)
