Medco?s Exspan to drill 20 exploration wells in 2003

Exspan Nusantara, a wholly owned subsidiary of Jakarta Stock Exchange-listed oil and gas company Medco Energi International, said on Tuesday that it planned to drill 20 exploration wells and 42 development wells this year in its working areas in Indonesia.
Company spokesman Aditya Mandala said Exspan would drill 6 exploration wells in South and Central Sumatra blocks, 5 wells in Rimau block onshore Central Sumatra, 3 wells in Tuban block, East Java, 2 in Rombebai exploration block, Papua and 1 well each in Lematang block, S. Sumatra, Madura block, offshore East Java, Simenggaris block in East Kalimantan and in Senoro-Toili block, Central Sulawesi.
Exspan will drill 34 development wells in its Sumatra working areas, 6 wells in Kalimantan and 2 wells in Central Sulawesi block. (godang)
