Medco?s hydro power plants in Sukabumi to start operation in 2020

Independent power producer PT Medco Power Indonesia (MPI) expects two additional units of its PLTMH Cibalapulang mini hydro power plant project in Sukabumi, West Java Province, to start operation in 2020.
This was said by MPI President Director Fazil Alfitri to Petromindo.com on Wednesday. ?The target is to start operation in 2020,? he said.
MPI has recently started operation of the first unit 9 MW PLTMH Cibalapulang in Sukabumi. The company is developing the second unit with capacity of 6.5 MW and the third unit with capacity of 6 MW.
MPI previously said it expected to start operation of its 8 MW Ciwidey PLTMH project in Bandung, West Java, at the end of this year.
Fazil said that MPI has been teaming up with PT Brantas Abipraya as the EPC contractor of its mini hydro power plant projects. Total investment for the entire projects, with combined capacity of around 30 MW, is US$75 million.
