Medco?s production reaches 200 mmscfd and 20,000 bopd

Production from fields operated by IDX-listed integrated energy company PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk has currently reached approximately 200 mmscfd of gas and 20,000 barrels oil per day (bopd), according to a senior official of the firm.

?The current production comes from Tarakan block in North Kalimantan, Senoro Toili block in Central Sulawesi, and Rimau block in South Sumatra,? Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Medco Ronald Gunawan told Petromindo.com.

Although the production is running normally, this year Medco will not carry out exploration activities, according to Ronald. Seismic survey will be conducted next year because they still have to conduct land acquisition, he said.

"Earlier this year we've been doing development drilling, while this year there is no exploration drilling," Ronald said.
