Medco sells gas from CBM Sekayu block

PT Medco CBM Sekayu, a subsidiary of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk, signed today an MoU with South Sumatra-owned Perusahaan Daerah Pertambangan dan Energi (PDPDE) on gas supply from the CBM SE-2 well at its CBM Sekayu block.
Under the MoU, which was signed by President Director of Medco CBM Sekayu Pudjo Suwarno and his PDPDE counterpart Caca Isa Saleh, Medco will supply 0.2 MMSCFD of gas to PDPDE for the next five years. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Jero Wacik also attended the signing ceremony.
In 2012, Medco Energi will also drill four CBM wells at the Sekayu block. Medco is the operator of the block where it holds a 50% participating interest. The remaining 50% is controlled by partner South Sumatra Energy Inc (SSE Inc).
At present, Medco operates two CBM blocks, CBM Sekayu and CBM Lematang. In addition, the company is a partner in the CBM Muralim block in South Sumatra operated by Dart Energy. (godang)
