Medco shuts in Kerisi well

PT Medco E&P Natuna, operator of the South Natuna B block in Riau Islands Province, has shut in the Kerisi well at Kerisi field in the block, according to a source.
The shut-in was made following drilling failure and as the company plans to plug and abandon the well, the source said to petromindo.com on Tuesday, adding that as a result of the shut-in potential production has declined by 700 bopd.
General Manager of Medco EP Natuna, Amri Siahaan confirmed Tuesday the shut-in measure, but did not provide the reason. He said that the company?s Senior Manager for Relations and Security, Drajat Panjawi will later provide official explanation.
