Medco spudding Arung-1 well in SCS block

PT Medco EP Indonesia (MEPI) said it has been spudding the Arung-1 well in the South and Central Sumatra (SCS) block, South Sumatra since Nov. 18, 2013.
?As of the end of November, the drilling reached the depth of 1,204 feet,? MEPI?s Head of Corporate Secretary at, Imron Gazali said to Petromindo.com.
He said the target depth (TD) of the well is 5,061 feet.
?Total drilling cost as of end of November 2013 was US$1,031,401,? Imron added.
The SCS block, located onshore in the South and Central Sumatra basin, covers an area of 6,493 sq km. MEPI holds 40 percent interest in the block.
