Medco starts testing on Sebaya-1 well

Australian listed oil firm CityView Corporation Limited said Monday that it had received notification from its Joint Venture partner PT. Medco Energi International Tbk. that the lower zone on the Sebaya-1 well in Madura Block in East Java was perforated on Saturday 18 May 2002.
CityView said the well flowed both gas and condensate and the testing is currently in progress.
Meanwhile CityView also said that the drilling on Pidawan-1 well in Simenggaris Block in East Kalimantan has reached a depth of 6,210 feet.
The rig is drilling ahead to total depth, CityView added.
According to CityView, Medco planned the total depth for Pidawan-1 is approximately 7,000 feet.
CityView is free carried by Medco throughout the current work programs and has a 15.625 percent interest in both Blocks. (robert)
