Medco temporarily suspends S. Sumatra exploration well

IDX-listed energy firm PT Medco Energi Internasional reported on Monday basement formation test at Nuansa-1 exploration well in Merangin I PSC, onshore South Sumatra has produced gas and the well had been temporarily suspended.
The well was drilled to the depth of 10,684 ft,? the company said in report to the Indonesian bourse.
The company did not give further detail.
Medco operates the block with 41 percent interest, the remaining interest holds by a unit of Thai energy firm PTTEP and MOECO, a subsidiary of Japan?s Mitsui Oil Exploration Company with 39 and 20 percent, respectively. (denny)
