Medco, Thai PTT to jointly explore gas related businesses

Publicly listed oil and gas firm PT Medco Energi Internasional announced Wednesday it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Thailand oil firm PTT Public Company Limited to explore any potential cooperation of gas related businesses in Indonesia and Thailand.
Medco said in statement to the Jakarta Stock Exchange that the proposed cooperation include construction of gas pipelines, LNG (liquefied natural gas) terminal and its related business, and other infrastructure projects.
“The MOU will become effective for a period of 24 months upon the signing and may be extended by mutual agreement between the parties,” Medco added. (Robert)
