Medco to commence drilling program on Madura Block

Australian listed publicly company CityView Corporation Limited said on Thursday its joint venture partner PT Medco Energi International Tbk had completed the construction of Telaga well location in Madura, East Java.

CityView said Medco had also begun building access road of approximately 60 kilometers between the Tembuku and Telaga exploration well locations.

Tembuku and Telaga are located in Madura Block joint operating body (JOB) where PT Medco is the operator. The proposed wells will be drilled back to back.

CityView said Medco was waiting for Apexindo Rig 2 which was scheduled to arrive in Tembuku location on September 28, 2002.

The second barge with accessory equipment was also expected to arrive on October 5, 2002, CityView said.

?The rig up will commence immediately upon arrival,? CityView added.

The Tembuku well, the first well to be drilled, was programmed for 10,416 feet target depth and scheduled to be spuded on October 15, 2002.

CityView is free carried by Medco throughout the current work programs and has a 25 percent gross interest in Madura Block. (robert)
