Medco to commence drilling Sebaya-2 appraisal well

Australian oil firm CityView Corporation Limited said Wednesday the refurbishment of PT Apexindo?s Rig 14 was nearly completed and the rig was scheduled to arrive at Sebaya-2 drilling location in Madura block, East Java on November 5.
?Rig inspection by the operator's (PT Medco Energi Internasional) engineers, third parties and MIGAS was carried out on October 18, 2004? CityView said, adding that the Sebaya-2 was expected to be spudded early November.
Earlier, Medco delayed the spudding of the Sebaya-2 appraisal well due to an extensive refurbishment of the rig and the requisite certification process by relevant authorities.
State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has 35 percent interest in the Madura block, while CityView, Medco and Falcon Oil Pte Ltd hold 16.25 percent, 24.75 percent and 24 percent, respectively. (robert)
