Medco to drill another two wells in E. Kalimantan exploration block

The Bangku Besar-A1 well is anticipated to spud in November 2002 and the Sesayap-B1 well will be drilled directly afterwards using the same rig, CityView said.
Meanwhile, CityView said that the testing program at Pidawan-1 which is also located within Simenggaris block was completed.
The preliminary test results indicate that on the first Drill Stem Test (DST) the well was able to flow gas at 2.870 millions of cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) on a 128/64-inch choke size and from the second DST gas flows at 1.6 MMSCFD on a 28/64-inch choke size, said CityView.
?Medco is finalizing the results of the well and is performing an analysis, re-mapping of the structure and estimating possible reserves,? CityView said.
Medco was also requested permission from the relevant authorities to temporary suspend the well, CityView added.
CityView is free carried by Medco throughout the current work programs and has a 25 percent gross interest in Simenggaris block. (robert)
