Medco to drill another two wells in Madura Block

Australian listed company CityView Corporation Limited said on Monday that its joint partner and operator, PT Medco Energi International, had planned to drill Telaga-1 well in Madura Joint Operation Block (JOB).

?Medco advised that the rig tender for the well is in final evaluation phase and anticipates awarding the successful rig contractor in the near future,? CityView said.

According to CityView, Medco planned to spud the Telaga-1 in the second week of August 2002.

After Telaga-1, with the same rig, Medco will continue to drill Tembuku-1 well and has anticipated to spud the well in first week of November 2002. ?Tembuku well will be drilled back to back with the Telaga well,? CityView said.

Meanwhile CityView said the test results from Sebaya-1 well are being completed by Medco.

Madura JOB is located in East Java province.

CityView is free carried by Medco throughout the current work programs and has a 25 percent gross interest in Madura Block. (robert)
