Medco to merge drilling subsidiaries

Oil and gas firm Medco Energi International Tbk plans to merge its drilling firm subsidiaries PT Apexindo pratama Duta and PT. Medco Antareja in preparation to go public.

Medco?s corporate secretary Sugiharto said that Apexindo would be the surviving company.

He said that the plan was to list the merging company in the Jakarta Stock Exchange and/or in other stock exchange.

Sugiharto, however, did not disclose when the merger process was targeted to be completed. (alex/robert)
