Medco to plug and abandon Konang-3 well

The Madura JOB venture is set to plug and abandon the Konang-3 exploration well due to technical difficulty, according to ASX-listed firm CityView Corp on Tuesday.
CityView said the well was struck at the depth of 2,791 feet.
The drilling of a twin well was now being considered, the company added.
The Konang-3 well, which was spudded on August 8, 2006, has the target depth of 4,920 feet with Kujung formation as the target area.
The Madura JOB block is operated by JSX-listed oil firm PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk. Meanwhile, CityView is freely carried in the block. (denny)
