Medco to test E. Kalimantan exploration well

IDX-listed energy firm PT Medco Energi International Tbk will test Sebuku-2 exploration well in Bengara I PSC in East Kalimantan following drilling completion.
The company reported that the well was spudded on June 17, 2011 and has been drilled to the final total depth of 4,546 feet MD/TVD.
Medco has 51 percent interest in the block with the balance held by UK oil, gas firm Salamander Energy plc.
Medco also reported oil discovery at its South and Central Sumatra PSC onshore South Sumatra .
The Lica-1 well, which was spudded in July this year, has been drilled to the depth of 4,645 feet MD and flowed 195 BPD of oil through 12/64? choke within interval of 4,335-4345 feet.
The well is temporarily shutdown and will be producing after drilling of the next well completed. (alex)
