The four projects were completed by state oil and gas firm Pertamina and French oil and gas producer Total E&P Indonesie, while the 10 will be built by Pertamina and state gas transmission and distribution firm PGN, Purnomo said in a statement released Wednesday.
The four projects to be dedicated by the President, in a special ceremony in Balongan on Monday, West Java, are as follows:
1. Pertamina?s liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) plant in Limau Timur, South Sumatra. The plant has capacity to process 30-36 million cubic feet per day (MMCFD) of gas into 22-24 MMCFD of lean gas, 200 tons per day of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and 500-600 barrels per day of condensate.
2. Pertamina?s LPG plant in Indramayu, West Java, which will process an estimated 15.8 MMCFD of gas into LPG from 2003 to 2018.
3. Pertamina?s CO2 removal project in Subang, West Java, which is meant to reduce CO2 content in gas from the Subang field.
4. Tunu Field Development Project Phase 8 gas processing plant in East Kalimantan, which is operated by Total E&P Indonesie. The field currently produces 1,600 MMCFD of gas, and the gas compression project has been designed to raise Total?s condensate production to 20,000 barrels per day of oil equivalent.
Meanwhile, the 10 projects to be built are as follows:
1. Pertamina?s natural gas liquefaction plant in Plaju, South Sumatra, which is meant to increase raw materials for domestic LPG production. The plant has capacity to process 300 MMCFD of gas, and will annually turn out 350 metric tons of gas with C3 and C4 contents, and 80-90metric tons of liquid naphta.
2. Pertamina?s unleaded gasoline production facility in Cilacap, Central Java.
3. Revamping project at Pertamina?s Balongan refinery in Indramayu, West Java, which aims to diversify its products. The plant has been designed to also turn out petrochemicals and other non-fuels.
4. Fare gas & hydrogen recovery system project at Pertamina?s Balikpapan oil refinery.
5. PGN?s gas transmission pipeline project to link Pagardewa (S. Sumatra) to Cilegon (W. Java) .
6. Pertamina?s gas resources development project in South Sumatra, which aims to pipe an estimated 250 MMCFD of gas West Java, starting from 2006.
7. Project of modernizing Pertamina?s lube oil blending plant in Surabaya.
8. PGN?s gas transit main terminal in Tuban, East Java, and gas pipeline project in the province.
9. Pertamina?s fuel depot in Cikampek, West Java, with capacity of 80,500 kiloliters of fuel.
10. Procurement of two very large crude carries for Pertamina, which can carry 2 million barrels of oil each.
The 14 projects cost a combined US$1.97 billion, of which $940 million go to 12 projects of Pertamina, $551 million to Total?s project, and $485 million to PGN?s project. (godang)
