Megawati yet to decide fate of Cepu oil field

President Megawati Soekarnoputri has not yet decided the future of the Cepu oil field after the year 2010 when the contract of the field`s operator, Exxon Mobil, expires, Antara news agency reported.
This was stated by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro to the press at the State Palace here Wednesday, shortly after attending a meeting of the Government Commission Council of Pertamina State Oil Company (DKPP) which was presided by President Megawati.
According to Purnomo, the Cepu oil field is being operated by Exxon Mobil under the Technical Assistance Contract (TAC) system until 2010. (*)
