MEMI appointed Tonny Prihatna Sastramihardja as new CEO

Indonesia coal mining Company PT Medco Energi Mining International (MEMI) stated that it has appointed Tonny Prihatna Sastramihardja as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to succeed Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo who retired at end-2015.

F Hary Kristiono, Head of Business Development and Marketing of MEMI, told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that Tonny served as CEO of MEMI starting in early January 2016.? Prior to the appointment, Tonny served as Technical Support Director at the company.

MEMI is a subsidiary of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk. The company has acquired two mining work permits (IUP) at Nunukan, North Kalimantan, owned by PT Duta Tambang Rekayasa (DTR) and PT Duta Tambang Sumber Alam (DTSA) respectively. DTSA and DTR have 1,700 ha and 4,492 ha concession areas, respectively, with probable coal reserves of 4 million and 1.7 million tons, respectively, according to the company?s data.
