Coal mining company PT Medco Energi Mining International (MEMI) has exported 110,000 tons of coal from the concession owned by its subsidiary PT Duta Tambang Rekayasa in Nunukan, North Kalimantan in January and February 2015.

?All of the coal was sold on the spot market in India. The buyers did not want to enter into long term contracts,? CEO Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo told Petromindo.com on Tuesday, adding the firm planned to export all of its coal production from the concession this year.

He said MEMI is targeting to produce 600,000 tons from the concession this year amid market slowdown. The coal has a calorific value of 6500 kcal/kg GAR and a sulfuric content of 3.5 percent.
