Coal mining company PT Medco Energi Mining International (MEMI) plans to maintain production next year at 600,000 tons, the same with this year?s estimate amid the lingering bearish condition in the global coal market.

The output will come from the company?s concession in Nunukan, North Kalimantan, run by subsidiary PT Duta Tambang Rekayasa, CEO of MEMI Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo told Petromindo.Com.

?We will not increase our output, we will also postpone several of our projects, including the commencement of production from Duta Tambang Sumber Alam concession until the energy sector reverse into bullish condition,? Arie explained.

Arie added that the company has allocated about US$ 2 million for capital expenditure in 2015. ?It will be allocated for production equipment unit, such as additional fleet, maintaining trucks, and etc in order to increase the physical availability of the fleet to boost the productivity,? he said.
