MEMR asks miners to prepare health service over Covid-19

Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) has issued a circular letter, asking miners to prepare health services to prevent and deal with the coronavirus or Covid-19.
The letter number 02.E/04/DJB/2020, signed by Director General for Coal and Mineral Bambang Gatot Aryono, was sent to president directors and CEOs of mineral and coal mining companies.
The ministry also sets out steps to be taken to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, including limiting gatherings and applying social and physical distance for all employees.

In addition, the MEMR also asks miners to provide required health facilities and services, promote healthy lifestyle and sterilize work environment and conducting rapid test when necessary.
Miners were reportedly to have implement such measures for the safety of their own employees in accordance with the government demand, with some cancelling business trips and applying work from home method.
