MEMR issues decree on coal DMO for 2015

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) has issued Decree No 2805/K/30/MEM/2015 on coal domestic market obligation (DMO) for 2015.

Domestic coal demand for this year is set at 92.31 million tons, estimated based on consumption figure proposed by consumers at home.

According to the copy of the decree obtained by this portal on Monday, the coal DMO is set at 23.41 percent of the country?s projected coal output this year of 394.37 million tons.

The coal producers include 47 companies holding the so-called coal contract of work, three state-owned, and 34 IUP miners.

Following is the estimated coal needs of domestic consumers for 2015.
