MEMR issues new decree on oil, gas producing regions, revenue split

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) has issued new Decree No 4042 K/80/MEM/2014 on oil and gas producing regions, and the revenue split from the natural resources between the regions and the central government for 2015.

According to the copy of the decree obtained by Petromindo.com Wednesday, the producing regions are determined based on the following criteria.
A. Oil and gas producing regions for onshore working areas are regencies/mayoralties where production wellheads are located, producing oil and/gas that have been sold (lifting), and provided revenue for the state.
B. Oil and gas producing regions for offshore working areas are provinces and regencies/mayoralties where production wellheads are located and/ platforms, which produce oil and/gas which have been sold (lifting), and provided revenue for the state in accordance with the sea territory of the respective provinces or regencies/mayoralties.
