MEMR names winning bidders for seven solar power plant projects

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has named the winning bidders for seven solar power plant projects, which is part of the government?s plan to develop 80 solar power plant project across Indonesia with a combined capacity of 140 MW, Investor Daily reported on Tuesday.

Director for New and Renewable Energy at the ministry, Alihudin Sitompul was quoted as saying that the winning bidders are currently negotiating the power purchase agreement (PPA) with state-owned electricity firm PLN.

He said that construction of the power plant project is expected to be completed in 8-18 months after the PPA is signed.

The winning bidders include PT LEN Industri, PT Global Karya Mandiri (two projects), PT Brantas Energi-Adyawinsa, PT Berkah Surya Madani, PT Buana Multi Techindo, and PT Indo Solusi Utama. *)
