MEMR unit, World Agroforestry Center sign MoU on bio-energy cooperation

Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources? (MEMR) Research and Development Agency signed on Saturday an MoU with The World Agroforestry Center on cooperation in the areas of technology, policies and regulations to help promote bio-energy development in Indonesia.
The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the Renewable Energy Forum in Nusa Dua, Bali, witnessed by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said.
Sudirman said in a statement that the cooperation will link Indonesia with the global scientific community and development for the transfer of know-how and experiences in developing the bio-energy sector.
He added that Bali in particular aims to achieve 100 percent clean energy by 2018.
