Oil & gas company PT. Mentari Pembuang Internasional is ready to carry out 3D seismic survery at the Seruyan oil and gas working area in Kuala Pembuang block in Seruyan Regency, Central Kalimantan, in January of next year.
The contractor has allocated US$44 million for the seismic survey, which is expected to last for three months, company officials told the local Seruyan government during a visit last week as part of a local campaign for the upcoming project.
?The exploration activities which will be started with seismic work is the activity of the government of Indonesia, therefore must be supported by stakeholders in the region particularly the local government,? said Yanin Kholison, public relations manager of the Kalimantan and Sulawesi branch office of the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas.
