Merangin II block may start oil production in May

Upstream oil and gas authority BPMIGAS said it would push local firm PT Sele Raya to start crude production from Merangin II block onshore South Sumatra May this year.

Priyono said the block may produce 600 barrels per day of crude initially and will increase to 2,000 BPD by year-end.

According to Sele Raya?s website, the Company has made several discoveries in the block in the past few years. (bernard)
