Mercator completes acquisition of Indonesia mine

Indian shipping firm Mercator Lines Limited has completed acquisition of one more coal mine in East Kalimantan.
The company said in a report released on August 12 that the mine, which has an estimated resource of 45 million tones, is expected to start production in the fourth quarter of this year. The company did not give further detail.
According to the company?s website, it has four other mines in Kalimantan, two in Tanah Grogot, East Kalimantan and another two in Satui, South Kalimantan.
?Mercator is further looking to expand its activities and operations in coal business,? the company said. ( alex)
